Dental Veneers Ipswich

There are two types of cosmetic veneers, porcelain and composite, at Camira Dental we offer both types and are happy to consult you on the best Dental Veneers option for you. Both porcelain and composite veneers require a preliminary examination with x-rays to determine your suitability for these procedures. Unsure about the difference between composite and porcelain veneers? We have outlined the essential differences below.

Composite Veneers

Composite veneers are the cheaper and faster option, as only one visit to our team of Camira dentist professionals is required. They look great, last about 5+ years, and are hand-made by the dentist using cosmetic filling material; however, they will stain, particularly in smokers.

Composite veneers are constructed on-site at our Dental Veneers clinic. In this visit we fit you for your composite veneers but generally do not need an impression.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers offer the best aesthetic result. Porcelain veneers require impressions and need some teeth modification and reduction. Once you have come in to our practice for your impressions they are then sent off to our local Ipswich dental clinic, to create your porcelain veneers.

It can take two to three weeks to manufacture these veneers and during this time we provide temporary porcelain veneers for you to wear.

Once your porcelain veneers have been created, they are fitted at the practice by one of our skilled dental veneers dentists. This is a long visit so we advise you to plan your day accordingly.

At Camira Dental, we have had cases where porcelain veneers lasted 25+ years. Porcelain is also much more stain-resistant and looks the best – it gives you the Hollywood smile!
